By Don McNulty On July 15, 2009 Comments Off

Hi, this is Don. Welcome back to the EZ4Newbies Blog. Thanks for coming by again!

Most people who would like to earn money online think that affiliate marketing is very easy and that they can start to earn money without doing anything. Yes, it’s true that affiliate marking is one of the easiest ways to make money online. However, some effort is required before you can start to see your affiliate checks rolling in!

New online entrepreneurs who get into affiliate marketing with some misconceptions are easily discouraged. This article outlines the realities and facts about affiliate marketing.

  • It’s essential for you to invest some money if you really want to succeed and earn big commissions. You will need to have your own website, an auto responder on your website, and also track the performance of your advertisements. Most of these items will require you to spend some money. In order to generate many sales and hence earn huge commission checks, you must drive huge volumes of traffic to your website. Depending one the advertising campaign you’ll prefer to use, you will need to pay some money for advertising.
  • You will need to apply some hard work and effort to build your affiliate marketing business. This is particularly important during the early stages of starting your business, when you will need to write articles or other reports that you can use to promote your affiliate links. Blogging, participating in forums, and writing affiliate product reviews are some of the things you will need to do. Depending on your budget, there are several marketing-related steps you will need to take to advertise your website. If you have money, you can outsource some of the services you need. If you have a limited budget, it means you have to do most of the marketing activities yourself.
  • You will need to keep on learning. Internet marketing is very dynamic, and there are various ways of promoting your website which you can use. This means that you must keep on learning to keep yourselfup-to-date with the most effective ways for marketing online. You can interact with other affiliate marketers or you can have a very successful marketer as your mentor.
  • You need to have confidence and faith in yourself. This will help you to keep on working on your business when it is bringing in pocket change, until you become successful and earn those really big commissions.

These are some of the key realities about affiliate marketing. You must fully understand them before you decide to start an affiliate marketing business.

Warrior Forum – Your Great Resource

By Don McNulty On July 13, 2009 9 Comments

The unrivaled Internet Marketing forum that’s withstood the “test of time” is the“Warrior Forum” at:

http://warriorforum.com

There is some good news and some not so good news about that forum. The good news it really is a place where you are able to get your questions resolved. It’s also a place where you can present new products in a special section called “Warrior Special Offers”. As such, it’s a base you can use to “get the word out” about your own new product releases.

That brings us to the bad news. Since the world of Internet Marketing can be a “bit spammy”, shall we say, with people bounding in with offers everywhere, it tends to bring down the quality of the discussion whenever that happens.

So, the Warrior Forum “patrol”, as I call them, will be sizing up every post of yours.  If you even suggest that you’re promoting your own product outside of the “Warrior Special Offers” section, the entire “thread”, including your initial posting will be eliminated.

One thing you should keep in mind is that folks tend to be a bit too favorable or excessively unfavorable about particular products when they’re asked an opinion about them. It can get to the point that it’s hard to pick out the good from the not-so-good. Remember that some of these folks may have an interest as an affiliate in one product or another, so take it all in with a little caution.

Even so, the Warrior Forum is still the best spot online to find possible partners. And it’s an outstanding place to simply ask questions and learn about what might be stumbling blocks for you. Utilize the Warrior Forum and it will turn out to be a terrific resource for you.

Thank Goodness for Backup(s)

By Don McNulty On June 23, 2009 Comments Off

First, I want to offer my sincere apologies to my site visitors over the last two days, Sunday and Monday.

During the past week, my original webhost’s server (at least the one this site was on) went down three times for several hours.

Unfortunately, I had just sent out an email inviting folks to come take a look at the newly-redesigned and updated EZ4Newbies Blog (just my luck!). So when most of you came here, you found either 1) blankness; 2) a newly set up standard ol’ WordPress blog; or 3) a partial reconstruction of the newly-redesigned and updated EZ4Newbies Blog, which was missing many parts (like, say, posts and comments).

Naturally, I had set up an automated daily backup of this site (just like you do…). I generally saved the last three of those backups, which are automatically sent to me as an attachment by email. Of course, when I tried to restore the site, it turned out that the last two backups contained corrupted data. My 3-day-old one was fine, so the site is now up and going again. I have also decided to save a week’s worth of backup files from now on, just as insurance.

Once again, please accept my apologies. You should be able to explore the site now more fully. Enjoy!

Nice Professional Work

By Don McNulty On June 19, 2009 Comments Off

I just saw a “TV commercial” type of ad online. An affiliate for the product created it, then made it available for other affiliates to use. I was impressed by the creativity and professionalism of the video. It is even fairly humorous, especially near the end. So just for fun, and to enjoy some good work, take a look:

It’s only about 90 seconds long, so it’s worth watching
