Ethical Marketing

By Don McNulty On January 30, 2010 Comments Off

Hi, this is Don. Welcome back to the EZ4Newbies Blog. Thanks for coming by again!

To sell a product well, it is very important to use powerful selling words to really convey each and every little benefit that your product has to convince the customer. It is not uncommon to see words like ?unbelievable? and ?phenomenal? and something along those lines in really great salesletters.

However, there are some marketers who intentionally use hyped-up descriptions to sell off their products. These marketers mislead customers into thinking that their products offer benefits that do not really exist in reality. At this point, it would be appropriate to quote a story that really happened:

One evening, a fellow marketer in my MSN Messenger list messaged me to check out his newest salesletter for his product, an ebook on earning revenue with contextual advertisement. I logged on to his website and was drawn right into his sales copy! The reason was the salesletter dived right into my desires and promised that ?everything I have ever wanted? can be obtained just by purchasing the said ebook and executing whatever is inside. The salesletter also made it seem that the author owns fleets of Mercedez Benz cars, luxurious mansions and private yachts.

The problem was I know this particular marketer personally. He is actually a 17 year old high school graduate looking for a few quick bucks by selling a little ebook he compiled with information collected from various sources from the Internet. My emergency alarm immediately kicked in and I can just imagine how many na?ve newbies can be fooled with the deceptive sales copy.

The sad but very real fact is that there are many scam artists online, waiting to rip you off your hard-earned money. Hence, remember that the usual advice for consumers still apply online: use your common sense. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

Remember, when you intend to purchase something from the Internet, do a basic check-up on the merchant website. First and foremost, if you have even the slightest question on any of the features of the product mentioned, email the merchant regarding it and observe the attitude with which he/she replies. Customer support reveals a lot about the integrity of a business.

Finally, if you can’t even find support email on their website, click the ?Back? button and run away from the site at once!

Profit getting and customer building article marketing

By Don McNulty On January 28, 2010 Comments Off

You may have heard this before but you are going to hear it again. Online businesses need articles in order to achieve two things; customers and credibility. With this purpose in mind, it is no wonder why article marketing has grown in numbers from the time web site owners realized their full potential.

The power of article marketing is not lost among the many internet marketing strategies being used today. In fact, it is one of the most widely used. People who have not known the value of article marketing before are now turning their full attention to it.

But your articles will not be read if nobody notices it. This means that you can say goodbye to free exposure and surging profits. This is only the start. You also must hold your reader’s concentration with good quality article.

What are some of the elements needed in writing a successful article?

Researching before writing.

When most writers write their articles, they only write about what they want to be written. This is really not an effective way of writing an article.

The most effective and suggested way to write an article is to write about a topic that your niche market is already interested in. To know what they find, you have to do your research.

Research should be done before writing the article. When looking for topics for your article, you could go to forums that cover your targeted market. Be keen in observing what people are talking about or looking for. The best thing to do is find a problem. Then you can write about solutions to that problem.

By this, you are showing your readers that you can solve their problem. When you help people resolve their problems, you will build up your credibility. Once this is done, profits will be next.

Title of your article.

Choosing a title for your article should be considered as one of the most important decision you are ever going to make. Your title will determine whether or not your article will be read. Take the time needed to think of a creative and attention-grabbing title.

The kind of title to use is the one that grabs the reader?s attention immediately and encourage them to read the content quickly. One of the more effective titles to use is to tell them about the benefits they will get when they read your articles. Readers tend to be more inclined to something they will benefit from.

The body of the article.

A lot of articles are filled with sales pitch or advertising. Readers are already wise to this technique. They drift away from the main purpose of providing information. These kinds of articles are deemed useless by readers.

Educating your readers is one way of assuring that your articles will be read. It brings more value to your content.

If you try to publish a poorly written article, chances are people will not read it. This will have an impact on your credibility and on any future articles you publish, so do it right the first time by educating them.

Article promotion.

If you want to make some profits with your article, you could try to promote your products or services at the end of each article. But you have to be certain that Make the product, service, or affiliate program is appropriate to the article. This is where most mistakes are made.

If you endorse a product, service, or affiliate program that matches with the article, your chances of getting a click through is very high. If you do not have a product or service that corresponds with the article, then it would be better if you find an affiliate program that does.

Article marketing can be an unstoppable profit producer, even if you or if you do not have your own products or services.

You heard it right. You do not have to have your own offering to take advantage of article marketing. All you will ever need are the three things mentioned above and you will be on your way to getting the audience you want and the profits you need.

These are the things that article marketing can do.

Blog Content

By Don McNulty On January 26, 2010 Comments Off

Today, we?re going to discuss the type of content that is suitable for your blog in order to make it profitable. First off, I want you to understand that there is no fixed scope that your blog should have, which means you can write about whatever you?re interested in.

However, the difference between a profitable blog and a non-profitable blog is the way the blog is written. Just imagine, would you prefer to read your university professor?s lecture notes or the latest novel by your favourite author?

You may prefer to read the novel because it appeals more to your interest, or because it is not as mind-numbing as the lecture notes by your professor. However, the most important point is people like to read ?light? stuff most of the time. You see, when people log on to your blog, they are not only looking for information ? they are also looking for information they can obtain easily, and better still in a relaxed manner.

So, to attract more visitors as well as to keep your current visitors coming back for more, it is very important to add a human touch to your blog posts. This can be done by simply imagining you?re talking about a certain topic with your personal friend. An extra bonus for your readers would be a great sense of humour, so try to add funny comments in your articles where they are suitable.

Another important key point is to avoid addressing your reader as a plural unit. What I really mean is you should not write as if you?re preparing a speech. Instead, you should write as if you?re having a conversation to a single person because this will make your visitor think of you more as a personal friend rather than a person of higher authority.

Besides that, it is also very useful to establish your own personality through your words. Human beings are very curious creatures, so naturally your visitors would want to know as much about you as the information you?re offering them.

Having a distinctive personality in your blog would make a world?s difference between your blog about gadgets and all the other blogs about gadgets out there. This is a lot like creating your own brand name, where people immediately remember your blog?s name when they need to find out information about gadgets, just like how people immediately think of McDonald?s for fastfood or Nike for sportswear.

So, the lesson for today is to simply write as an equal friend to your visitors, write to them as if you?re talking to a single person and establish your own personality on your blog.

By Don McNulty On January 24, 2010 Comments Off

If you want to start making money on the internet, selling on Ebay is one of the popular ways of achieving this goal. Today, many people earn a living and work from home selling products on Ebay.

If you want to succeed in your business of selling merchandise on Ebay, it is essential that you understand some of the important tips that you should keep in mind.

1.Describe the products that you are selling as much as possible. Use the relevant keywords and make sure that the description is accurate. Potential buyers rely on your description to provide them with a good impression of the product you sell. It is therefore important that you make the item description accurate and detailed.
2.Include an image of the item that you are selling. Buying online means that people can?t touch the products and have a feel of what you sell. Proving an image of the item will therefore help potential buyers to decide if they want to buy the product or not.
3.Use PayPal so that your customers can immediately pay for the products they want.
4.Communicate with your customers. The success of your Ebay business depends on good customer relationship skills. Answer any questions your customers have and be as helpful as you can.
5.If you are offering a refund policy for any of the products, it is important that you make that policy very precise; otherwise your customers may abuse that policy and return the goods they bought from you even if they are in good condition.
6.Encourage your customers to leave feedback on the service you provide as an Ebay seller. If you have a good feedback record on Ebay, many people will be confident to buy from you.
7.Be patient in developing your Ebay business.
8.Sell products that can be bought by anyone from any part of the word. If you target a global market, you increase your chances of making a sale.
9.Have a professional eBay auction site. If you project the impression that you are a serious and professional Ebay seller, buyers will be keen to buy from you.
10.Think outside the square and differentiate yourself from other Ebay sellers. Be creative, use catchy phrases to describe your products, and think about any other ways that you can differentiate yourself from the rest of other Ebay sellers.

Follow these ten tips in your Ebay business, and you will achieve your goals of earning money on the internet.

Website traffic maintenance

By Don McNulty On January 22, 2010 Comments Off

How do you build a steady stream of website traffic for your site?

Submissions to web directories.

For some internet marketers, web directories is not something they would have preferred if only they are given a choice. But without a doubt, web directories are sure-fire ways of driving website traffics.

These directories are effective ways of building PR (page rank) that helps websites get good rankings in the Google search engine. Google uses page ranks to grade the results based from the searches that visitors are making. Having a higher PR is having a better listing compared with others.

PR are based on the backlinks that you have and its quality. So it follows that the more backlinks you have, the higher your PR will be. You will also get better rankings.

This is the essence behind using web directories and linking. Once these combination have worked successfully, you can expect an increase in your website traffic.

To get a list of web directories, all you have to do is type in the keyword in the search engine. Then, all you need to do is choose from among the number of lists given.

Linking like crazy to other websites.

Ok so maybe submitting links is not really an easy task. Since there are not many computer-generated linking technologies yet, you have to submit them manually. But if you think of the benefits you will be getting from these links, it will be worth all the trouble.

Having a good content is important in making genuine backlinks.

There are two effective ways of doing this:

First, is the use of media or downloads. It is a fact that majority of website visitors are very much inclined to downloading and media. In addition, many people welcome them as something different from the usual wordings they encounter most of the time.

You will notice that once you have created a number of these on your site, the number of websites traffic you are getting will double. People are likely to come back to check on if updates to the media that you have on your site.

The second one is article writing. The good thing about articles is that you can post them to as many sites as you can, as long as their theme is related to yours. This way, you can have your backlinks spread all over the Internet through the resource box placed at the end of each article. With your articles, you get to reach more consumers that you cannot normally do if your article is only posted on your site.

Besides, articles are well-loved by search engines. Provide them with quality contents and you are sure to be read by these engines.

Giving more of your attention to search engines.

Search engines plays an important part for all internet marketers. They are a great way of driving website traffic. Google rankings are depending heavily on the backlinks used and the page ranks of each sites.

Going to forums or discussion pages.

This is a way of getting your message out while generating website traffic in the process. Just like web directories, you can just type in the keywords on the search engines to get a list of forums you can join.

You may have noticed that some people posts questions on forums. If you find that they are somehow related to your topic, fell free to answer the query being asked.

To register in forums, put in your URL. On the signature part, put a short description about your website. If you are planning on posting regularly to these forums, you can also change signatures to display the development happening on your website.

If you maintain your posts on a regular basis, you can have a steady flow of website traffic.

These are just some of the many ways you can do to be able to drive traffic to your website. There will always be new and easier ways of doing this. But for now, these are the ones being widely used. They also have proven their usefulness in the online marketing world.

Keep on using these strategies in order to maintain your website traffic. You can always come up with your own also.
